EDS
What is Ehlers Danlos syndrome (EDS)? It is a defect or a variation of how elastic a person’s tissues are. People with EDS have stretchy joints, and they have organs that expand in ways you would not expect them to.
EDS requires a deep understanding of how systems work, and usually, primary care providers don’t take time to go into that, so they will fix a problem and then refer a patient to the next doctor. Consequently, the patient is tired, worn out, has complicated pain issues, and is constantly labeled with inappropriate, unhelpful, and disrespectful diagnoses.
Dr. Chorley is concerned with the overuse of certain medicines and will present options to improve health with scientifically backed dietary supplements.
Common signs of EDS:
- Hypermobile joints
- Multiple joint pain
- If a patient has postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS)
- Disorders of the female reproductive tract
- And more!
