Katie Whitekiller, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is originally from southwest Missouri but has been an Oklahoma resident for over 30 years. Specializing in Family Practice, she enjoys anything outdoors and loves spending time with her family on weekends. She chose Axis Healthcare because of its integrity and heart for people. Friendly, compassionate, and self-motivated, Katie’s background includes Family Practice and Internal Medicine. She entered the medical field to help patients at a greater level, finding fulfillment as a Nurse Practitioner in extending her scope of practice to serve those around her.Katie has a rich educational background, having graduated from a collaborative Nurse Practitioner program between Southeast Missouri State University and Missouri Southern State University in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Southern State University (2016), an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Rogers State University (1997), and Associate of Arts degrees in Education and Liberal Arts from Tulsa Community College (2005). Katie is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and she has received numerous awards, including the Outstanding Nursing Graduate Award, the 2015 Johnson & Johnson School Health Fellow, the 2016 Johnson & Johnson Leadership Fellow, and the Emerging Leader Award.Katie believes in patient-centered care and developing caring relationships, striving to listen to her patients and provide excellent care at every visit. She wants her patients to know that she is passionate about the art and science of medicine and nursing, dedicated to making a positive impact on their health and well-being.
