Sibe Jacob Pegou is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who brings compassion, cultural perspective, and genuine care into every patient interaction. Originally from Cameroon in West Africa, Sibe moved to the United States 11 years ago and has proudly made Tulsa his home.
Sibe specializes in psychiatric mental health care and is deeply committed to helping patients heal mentally, emotionally, and holistically. His approach is rooted in listening without judgment and treating each patient as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms.
He earned his Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia. He completed his Bachelor of Nursing at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah after bridging from Tulsa Community College. His academic journey reflects dedication, resilience, and a strong foundation in patient-centered care.
Outside of work, Sibe is a devoted husband and father to a 9-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter. He enjoys playing soccer and spending weekends biking around his neighborhood with his family.
Sibe chose Axis because it aligns with his passion for meaningful, whole-person mental health care. While he initially pursued medicine for stability, his experiences—especially becoming a father—transformed his perspective. He discovered the profound impact of compassionate listening and supportive guidance, and how feeling heard can truly change lives.
