Sarah Dorsey is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals and families across the lifespan. With a strong focus on prevention, education, and whole-person wellness, Sarah believes healthcare works best when patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care decisions.
Originally born in Edmond, Oklahoma, Sarah has called the Tulsa area home since 1990. A proud “Jenks Lifer,” she attended school in Jenks and grew up in a large blended family with four sisters and five brothers. Living in a busy household with six kids under one roof at any given time helped shape her ability to thrive in organized chaos and nurtured her natural passion for caring for others.
Sarah began her academic journey at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2008. She later pursued her calling in healthcare at Langston University–Tulsa, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. After graduation, she worked in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), where her experiences caring for critically ill patients inspired her to expand her role in medicine. In 2024, Sarah completed her Family Nurse Practitioner program at Spring Arbor University.
Throughout her career, Sarah has remained committed to building meaningful relationships with her patients. She became a Nurse Practitioner to deepen the impact she could have on people’s lives—combining the trust and connection she valued as a nurse with advanced clinical training to diagnose, treat, and advocate for her patients more fully.
Sarah joined Axis because the organization aligns with her spiritual and holistic approach to medicine. She values treating the whole person and believes that true wellness involves both physical and emotional health.
Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married to her best friend for seven years, and together they are raising energetic four-year-old boy/girl twins. Life at home is full of activity, especially with their two Morkies, Layla and Lucy. When she has free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, traveling to explore new states, reading, crafting projects, sitting by a fire, and hosting game nights with friends and family—especially if they include spades, Farkle, or Yahtzee.
Patients who see Sarah can expect thoughtful, compassionate care and a provider who takes the time to truly listen. Her goal is to create a comfortable environment where patients feel supported, informed, and confident in their healthcare journey.
