Amber Marquette, DMSc, PA-C, is a nationally certified Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatry who is passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions while taking a whole-person approach that recognizes the strong connection between mental and physical health.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Amber earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior from Southwestern University before completing a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. She later earned both her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) from A.T. Still University in Arizona. During her physician assistant training, she completed psychiatry and community-based clinical rotations in Tulsa through Oklahoma State University. As the COVID-19 pandemic began, she accepted a position in Oklahoma to help meet the growing need for accessible mental health care and has proudly called the area home ever since.
In addition to her expertise in psychiatry, Amber’s clinical background includes respiratory care, family medicine, forensic psychiatry, and medical weight management. This diverse experience allows her to develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs while focusing on long-term wellness.
Amber chose to join Axis Healthcare because of its commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and its mission to expand access to quality mental health services. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and creating a safe, welcoming environment where every individual feels heard, respected, and supported.
Patients can expect Amber to take the time to truly listen, understand their concerns, and work collaboratively to create a personalized treatment plan. She believes the best care begins with trust, empathy, and open communication, and she strives to ensure every patient leaves feeling informed, empowered, and hopeful about their journey toward better health.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her cats, who remind her daily of the importance of patience, comfort, and unconditional care. She also enjoys discovering new restaurants around Tulsa, creating a relaxing home environment, experimenting with building cat trees, and continuing her professional education so she can provide the highest level of care to her patients.
