Shannon Nanaeto, MS, APRN-CNP, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing experience and a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Originally from Chouteau, Oklahoma, Shannon has spent her career serving patients across a variety of healthcare settings while helping individuals achieve better health physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Shannon earned her Registered Nurse degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and went on to obtain her Master of Science degree with a focus in Nursing Education from the University of Oklahoma in 2009. In 2021, she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Throughout her career, Shannon has gained extensive experience in Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Newborn Care, Women’s Health, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Geriatrics, and Post-Anesthesia Care. In addition to her clinical background, she has served as a nursing educator at both the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Rogers State University, helping shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.

A lifelong caregiver at heart, Shannon was drawn to medicine because of her desire to care for others and make a meaningful difference in their lives. She believes in providing evidence-based care while building genuine relationships with her patients through empathy, kindness, and respect.

Outside of the clinic, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family above all else. She and her husband have two sons and two very spoiled dogs. She is especially proud of her oldest son, who serves in the United States Navy, and loves keeping up with her energetic youngest son. On weekends, you can often find her teaching her child’s church class, enjoying the outdoors, grilling with family, or simply spending quality time with those she loves.

Shannon chose Axis Healthcare because of its Christian atmosphere and the wide variety of services available to help patients improve their overall health and wellness. She is also a member of the Northeastern Oklahoma Nurses Honor Guard, where she is honored to participate in the Florence Nightingale Tribute and final call to duty ceremonies for fallen nurses. Additionally, she has published two articles in The Oklahoma Nurse, the official publication of the Oklahoma Nurses Association.
